Federation Network Station
A subset of more than 130 global stations of the
Federation of Digital Broad-Band Seismograph Networks or FDSN.
They are chosen on the basis of hardware standards (VBB or BB and VLP, 3-component, dynamic range greater than 100db),
noise characteristics, geographical location, and status (installed or
installation imminent). The FDSN station and their description can be found in
the FDSN Station Book.
