The breqfast request handler can be used to request waveform data in mini-SEED as well as full-SEED volumes. Also dataless SEED volumes can be requested. In order to get your request through successfully, make sure you construct your request line in the following format:
|Starting time||Ending time|
|STA||NN||YYYY MM DD HH MM SS.T||YYYY MM DD HH MM SS.T||#_CH||CH1||CH2||CHn||LI|
|STA||2-5 character station code|
|NET||1-2 character network code|
|SS.T||seconds (accuracy in tenth of seconds)|
|#_CH||number of channel designators in the immediately following list|
|CHn||channel designators (may contain wildcards like * or ?)|
|LI||location code (optional)|
The format of your data can be specified in the email subject field, no subject will result in full-seed output, subject "miniseed" will result in miniseed output and subject "dataless" will result in dataless-seed volumes.
Furthermore, your message must at least contain the four following input lines preceding the request lines:
|your email address (progress notifications will be sent to this address)|
|.LABEL||this will be used as the output directory on the ORFEUS ftp|
|<actual request lines>|
For more information, you can refer to the IRIS breqfast manual. Note however, that at ORFEUS, only full-SEED, mini-SEED and dataless SEED data can be requested for a certain time-interval through ftp.
